L Methionine is a sulfur-containing essential Amino Acid that plays an important role in the overall health of joints, cartilage, hair, skin, and nails. However, L-Methionine cannot be naturally manufactured by the body. It must be obtained through diet or supplementation. The body can convert l-methionine to cysteine which acts as a precursor to the detoxifying antioxidant L-Glutathione. L-Methionine is also lipotropic, helping to support fat metabolism. In the body, L-methionine can also be converted into SAMe (S-adenosyl methionine), a compound that supports healthy joints. Our L-Methionine capsules contain only 100% pure free-form amino acid.
